"Is a drop of water equal to an ocean?"?

that was a question my teacher asked my religion cl to make and essay on but i have no clue what it could mean. i know that a drop of water is NOT equal to an ocean but i think it has a symbolic meaning of some sort that he wants us to see and writ about ... any ideas?? theories??
