Should I Get a Facebook.. I'm Twenty?

I've been having a serious debate about whether or not I should get a Facebook account. A lot of friends can't understand why I haven't made one already and I do feel like I'm missing out on a lot of things. Plus since I'm in college I think that I need it now more than ever. I'm just wary of getting one because of privacy issues and the drama that I know comes along with them. I've seen a lot of my friends suffer because of it. I don't know what to do. Any advice?
